1. The Terms of Use for BNM Datasets sets forth the terms and conditions that apply to the use of datasets, which are sourced from Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) as primary data compiler, i.e., labelled as “Source: Bank Negara Malaysia”. Datasets that are solely sourced from other parties are subject to the standard Terms of Use in the BNM website.

2. BNM allows the use of data without any charge.

3. Users are free to:

a. copy, publish, distribute, and transfer the data;

b. adopt the data;

c. use the data for commercial and non-commercial purposes; and

d. combine data with other data, or include data in the product or application created by the User.

4. In implementing any of the action specified in section 3, the User must:

a. acknowledge the data sources in the products or applications by including the attribution statement of "Source: Bank Negara Malaysia";

b. provide the link to the Terms of Use for BNM Datasets;

c. use and include the following statement: "Data and information are subject to Terms of Use for BNM Datasets" if BNM does not provide a statement relating to the ownership of the intellectual property data;

d. not claim or imply that BNM endorses the User’s use of the data;

e. not use, share or distribute the data for any unlawful purpose or act;

f. not reproduce BNM's name and emblem on the data, with the exception of the attribution statement in section 4a; and

g. not reproduce any trademark or service mark on the data.

5. These Terms of Use do not assign any rights to:

a. personal data;

b. the name, logo or any other official symbol of BNM;

c. logo of the public sector organisation or department;

d. rights of the third parties against whom BNM has no power; and

e. other intellectual property rights such as patents, trademarks, and design rights.

6. The No Guarantee terms are as follows:

a. the data is in the form as provided by BNM;

b. BNM is excluded from any representations, warranties of any kind, either express or implied, obligations and liabilities with respect to the data;

c. BNM is not responsible for any errors and any kind of data loss, injury or damage resulting from the use of such data; and

d. BNM does not provide a guarantee that any data will be provided continuously.

7. These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Malaysia and the owner of the data is BNM.

9. Disclaimers of Warranties.

User expressly agrees that use of BNM's datasets is at User's sole risk. Neither BNM, its affiliates nor any of their respective employees, agents, third party content providers or licensors warrant that BNM's datasets will be provided or available continuously; nor do they make any warranty as to the results that may be obtained from use of BNM's datasets, or as to the accuracy, adequacy, validity, availability, completeness, reliability or content of any information provided through BNM's datasets.
