The Centralised Shariah Advisory Authorities (CSAA) is an international networking platform established in 2018 that gathers central Shariah authorities across the globe. Spearheaded by Bank Negara Malaysia, its fundamental purpose is to strengthen global connectivity and foster mutual respect on Shariah views across jurisdictions.
The discussions conducted by the CSAA seek to address:
-
Common Shariah issues, for instance, Shariah governance and decision-making framework, sustainability agenda, pandemic-related regulatory measures, and Shariah parameters on hajah (exigent circumstances)
-
Critical Shariah policies with long-term developmental impact on Islamic finance growth, innovation and stability
